The Certified General Accountants' Association of Yukon was incorporated in 1983 by the Certified General Accountants Act of the Yukon Territory. The local business and affairs of the Association are managed by a volunteer Board of Governors composed of elected Certified General Accountants. However, due to CGA Yukon’s finite financial, administrative, and member resources, CGA Yukon and CGA British Columbia have an Administrative Agreement that authorizes CGA BC to administer professional membership and student matters on behalf of CGA Yukon
What does it mean for you as a CGA Yukon member or student?
- A CGA Yukon member must also be an Associate Member in good standing of CGA BC
- Adherence to CGA BC’s public practice entry and practice review requirements
- Adherence to CGA BC’s professional development requirements
- Adherence to CGA BC’s Code of Ethical Principles and Rules of Conduct
- Adherence to CGA BC’s disciplinary and ethics processes
- All student services are through CGA BC
If you are already a Certified General Accountant in another province or territory in Canada and wish to be registered in Yukon, you will be asked to provide the following documentation for assessment by the CGA Association of B.C. and by the CGA Association of Yukon:
- Proof of good standing with other regulatory body
- File transfer form and membership record from the regulatory organization where you are currently a member
- Academic transcripts (BC Only)
